Wailea Weather

Supple beaches, turquoise waters, and blooming foliage draw tourists to Maui year-round. Though it contains a number of microclimates, Maui's proximity to the equator and its cool ocean breezes allow for mostly mild and pleasant weather throughout the island. Maui experiences only two seasons throughout the year: the dry summer season from May through October and the wet winter season from November through April. Temperatures average between the low 70s (Fahrenheit) and mid-80s during winter, whereas summer temperatures can run as high as the low 90s. Most rain falls on Maui's windward cities such as Hana, but rain lasting longer than a day or two is uncommon. Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, however, hurricanes rarely hit Hawaii.
